B.S. Early Childhood/Special Education with a Music minor at New York University (graduating May 2015) - 3.5 GPA. I am a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Beta Pi Chapter, an international honor society in Education. I am a recipient of the Founders' Day Award for high academic achievement.
Experience
I am looking for tutoring jobs because I enjoy working with students one-on-one and I see tutoring as an excellent opportunity to expand my skill sets. As an education major, I have coursework, textbooks, and experience student teaching that I bring with me. My coursework and textbooks relate to teaching diverse learners and how to approach math and literacy instruction for young children. My student teaching experiences have been all across Manhattan, in diverse NYC public school settings. Other miscellaneous experience: - TA at my church's children's ministry (grades 3-5) - TA at my church's youth ministry for about 8 months (12th grade, 10th grade, 9th grade) - co-taught conversational English in Tianshui, China - tutored math to children grades 3-5 at JEI Learning Center - taught private violin lessons when I was in high school
