I can approach teaching from an angle of understanding, as I have had a cultural diverse life. I was born and raised in China and speak Mandarin fluently. I also have full command of the English language, as well. In my home country, I attended the People's Public Security University of China at Beijing and also the East China University of Politics and Law at Shanghai. Here in the United States, I went to Rutgers. I have master's degrees in Sociology from both nations. My professional experiences include teaching mandarin to children and adults in both classroom settings and privately.Every person is unique in how they observe information. I will adapt my methods to support learning in each situation. Above all, the relationship between student and teacher must be a collaboration, because each person is equally as important. I will work to motivate those I work with and to give them the necessary tools for success in master the Chinese language. I regularly speak Chinese at home with my daughter as a means of improving her skills and keeping mine in tip-top shape.I enjoy going for a good bike ride or traveling to new places. I also like to crack open a good book.
